Nationalism is Familyism by Richard T. Osborne Copyright 2004 When a family grows through generations of time, it can come to number in the millions. Such a family is then called, a nation. A nation of people is a family of people. Thus, nationalism is familyism, familyism is nationalism. It is said that the family institution is the basis for civilization and organized society. In terms of microcosm/macrocosm, therefore, the rules which govern the Nation would be exactly as those which govern the family. To learn how the national government should function, one has only to consider how the individual family functions. The nation thus becomes a hologram with each part reflecting the whole, and the whole reflecting the parts. What do families do? Are the talents of individual family members encourgaed and promoted? Yes. Is individual expression honored and encouraged? Yes. Are there also certain activities in which all family members unite collectively to support? Yes. Do family members learn to work for what they want? Yes. Do family members loan each other money when they are in need ? Yes. Would a family member attempt to profit from the unfortunate circumstance of another family member by demanding interest for the loan? No. If a family member meets with adversity, do the other members unite to relieve the effects of that adversity? Yes. Does the family collectively provide for that relief? Yes. Shall then the nation have a publicly owned banking system, operated without profit, for the benefit of its members? Yes. Shall the nation publicly own hospitals and/or provide health insurance without profit for the benefit of its members? Yes. Co-operatives allow families and folk communities to provide for their needs. Shall the nation develop infrastructure at cost for the benefit of its members? Yes. Shall the government let farmland out to speculation allowing speculators to own farmland that they themselves will not farm but rather lease to farmers at high rates resulting in higher prices for groceries and food shortages for the people? No. Family members do not feed off of their own flesh. When we take the best of individualism and the best of collectivism and combine them into a complementary whole, we create order, unity, and progress, as symbolized by the crosswheel. Free enterprise, for example, is a good thing as far as the production of consumer goods is concerned. Inovation, invention, and discovery of new products like micro-wave ovens, jogging shoes, DVD players, appliances, and home computers have all contributed to our high standard of living and made life easier for us. But there are also certain essential services that do not involve the production of consumer goods and which are better provided by the nation, or community, on a collective basis. These include a co-operative banking system free of profits, public libraries, public provision for roads, water and sewer, public ownership of hospitals and medical clinics, various social programs to provide for those unable to work, public defenders and public prosecutors in the courts to insure adequate council for all citizens, and the elimination of a speculative stock market. Product-capitalism, the making of money on real production, affords a constructive contribution to society and is progressive in its effect. Finance-capitalism, the making of money on money, is parasitical and regressive in its effect. In short, whatever an indivudual family does, the nation as a whole does likewise. The one reflects the other. Just as a family works and plays together, so does the nation. Each nation will also develop art, archetecture, music, and dress that reflect their inner nature and thus are cultures unique to their blood. This is an observed fact. Hence, we have the very different and unique cultures of the Orient, Old Mexico, Central Africa, or Ireland, for example. To elimate cultural expression is to suppress the outer expression of the inner soul. To do this in the name of equality is to interpret equality as meaning sameness, whereas true equality allows for an equally free national expression of different cultures. Genuine inter-nationalism will protect free expression. Anti-nationalism, which is often disguised as internationalism, is One World and is subversive to the survival of the nations. As it is with the family, so it is with the nation. To live in harmony is to live a balanced life. To live a balanced life is to live and work for both one's own welfare and for the welfare of the collective whole. This is born out of a love of family as the foundation of society, and of a love of the extension of the family, which is the folk, the tribe, the nation. The nation is the family. We live together, we work together, we prosper together, we love together, with mutual respect for the individual rights of the folk. We work for ourselves and our own family and we work for the welfare of the nation, the family of us all. Families who have love in their homes do not exploit each other, nor steal, lie, cheat, nor loan money at interest. Families do not feed off their own flesh. Rather, they work with each other in a supportive way to develope their individual talents and to pursue and fulfill their individual callings in life. Both our individual interests and our cohesiveness as a people are made secure through a Nationalist program. As it is with the family, so it is with the nation. The sniveling egalitarians, the hypocrits who camoflage their hate in their phony tolerance speeches, the baby killers and porn peddlers, those who hate pure-breds and who seek to forcibly intergrate society, who belitttle the value of racial uniqueness and expression, who would deny to the folk their dignity that comes from the mutual right to freedom of association, would have us all wallow in the mire of their genetic melting pot. Your race and your gender are who and what you are. Therefore, what you are is important to you. If you are Caucasian, it is important to you that you are Caucasian. If you are Negro, it is important to you that you are Negro. If you are Asian, it is important to you that you are Asian. If you are male or female, your gender is important to you because that is what you are. God and nature, either by design or evolution, have assigned to each soul that which is conducive to their life on this planet. Race and gender are valuable and key to the propagation of our life-forms. Liberal equalitarians devalue, belittle, and denigrate the value of what you are by insisting that race and gender don't matter. By saying that we should not choose our associations, "simply because", or "only because", or "just because", someone is of a different race or gender they devalue the importance and value of who we are. Equalitarians further accuse Whites of narrow-mindedness, predjudice, and bigotry who disagree with their equalitarian ideas. By so doing, they reveal their own intolerance, bigotry and stupidity. Equalitarians act so very innocent as they wear their faked smiles. Thus, they are blind to the reality of their own subversive ugliness. If liberal equalitarianism is allowed to run its course on Negroes, they will no longer be able to be Negro. The Negro cannot successfully compete with the White race in America. Put a White man in an African village and the White man won't survive there either. He will be as incapable of living their ways as they are of ours. Liberals are only attempting to "whiteyfy" the Black race in order to make them slaves of capital. Let the Negro have his own homeland and he will live happily under his own government. And we will live happily with ours. For one race to live in a country where another race owns the land, the natural resources, the seaports, the industry, the energy sources, the technology, etc., would not afford such a race to achieve a life much above the level of a comfortable tenant. For any race to achieve great heights, and not merely benefit in some indirect way from the achievements of another race, they need their own land and resources. Thus, greatness, and the greatness of a particular culture, is better achieved when a race lives in their own national homeland. This, however, does not mean isolation. Interacting with other nations through trade and travel is conducive to the sharing of beneficial ideas. Ideally, a family should own their own home and the nation should own their own national homeland. As it is with the family, so it is with the nation. In a heterogeneous society such as the United States, it is the spirit of nationalism that is significant and a certain social separatism is the result, with respect for the mutual right to freedom of association. The National Soul: It is one thing to read or hear about our common ancestry, and quite another to actually relate to it. We can learn of our genealogy, our parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. We can learn of our history as a people. But until a certain something, a certain feeling of a bond, an awareness that we are a common body, a gene pool from which we sprang and to which we owe our life, is experienced, the soul of nationalism is not yet set afire! It is one thing to speak of love, another thing to actually feel love. When the fire bursts from its deep internal smouldering into flames of brightness, it comes by way of a spiritual experience that one can never put into words. It is a uniting experience by which you feel the kindred bond as well as having a conviction of it in your mind. When the consciousness of nation and the benevolence that lies at the base of it is thus aroused, the nation becomes a living organism, that in which we live and move and have our being. The awakened man lives and works for the welfare of his folk as well as for his own interests because he sees his folk as an extension of himself. He and his folk are One. From each individual who developes his talent in a giving way, the folk derives the benefit. This is the spirit of nationalism. To the awakened soul, who knows who he is, who has awakened to his love of life, his love of the land, his love of family, kith and kin, and a genuine love of himself, who enjoys real camaraderie with his fellows, he it is on whom the heavens smile and who's destiny it is to walk with the Gods. |

No race can be rightly governed by another race. Each race or tribe must enjoy
political autonomy in their own national homeland, or folk community, so they
can be who and what they are. This is the right and the natural order
of the world. |
